We are looking for an INVENTORY ASSISTANT - 1st Shift to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, motivated, and organized self-starter.  This production team member will contribute to growth and be part of a winning team.

Position Overview:  The Inventory Assistant is responsible for assisting with the accurate control, accounting and physical flow of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from the company's inventory, while ensuring in-house manufacturing personnel are supplied with the proper parts or materials in a timely manner.


  • Issues supplies, materials, and equipment to ABS employees; manually pre-picks stock items from multi-level racking, completes all necessary tasks for stock items issued.
  • Monitors and tracks parts as they go through the production process; ensures parts are being fabricated, assembled and/or painted within the time frame necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Picks and processes projects, spare parts orders, warranty orders, and internal jobs.
  • Utilizes ERP system to properly account for items issued/returned and inputs relevant data on all materials handled in accordance with accounting procedures.
  • Assists in inventory control by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory software system.
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials and suggests re-order listing.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Forklift and aerial lift certified upon hire or within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Inventory experience preferred
